The Making of The Bargers, Phase II

Houston, we could have a problem. Every time I try to plug the phone in to upload more pictures the little man that lives in the computer tells me that there were no pictures or videos detected on my device. This morning I was convinced the devil lived inside my scale. I changed the battery on that and now I'm thinking there is a strong possibility the devil lives inside my computer.
Speaking of scales, WE HIT 20 LBS! It was just in time, too. According to the car seat we could not turn around until 20 lbs. I know for "normal" babies it's safer to keep them rear facing as long as possible but with Bricen's puking and need to be suctioned I thought it was better to turn him around. In addition to this, his feet were touching the back of the seat and he was having to keep his legs slightly bent to face the rear. As I mentioned it was just in time for the little trip to Lafayette for the wedding. He was so funny when I put him in the car seat. He looked around, leaned up out of the car seat as I was trying to strap him in and got right up close to my face and stared me in the eye like "Are you sure this is right, mom?" Ha

Oh. My. Word. This kid went non stop the entire weekend. And it was not just walking all over the barn and property, it was running. I'm sure his daddy and even myself at times had some high blood pressure because he made us a nervous wreck running on the cement! But Bricen sure did have a good time!

I've prob mentioned it before but I love that both Brittani and Chelsi got married in a barn but they were different weddings with each Bride staying true to themselves.
So we made a weekend of it and stayed in a hotel Fri and Saturday night. It was a tough decision to miss work but I think it was a much needed little get away of sorts. I really enjoyed the weekend. So we went down on Friday and started the set up process. Idk how or why Bricen got in here. For about two minutes it kept him contained and safe. Haha It is what the can drinks ended up going in.

Bridal party set up top. You can see the groom working in the background.

The door got dragged around the neighborhood too and then painted.

Instructing Daddy on where to go.

Testing, testing.

That's Marty holding a sleeping Bricen. No rehearsal for him!

Pinterest idea, "Wave a wand of well wishes for the new Mr. & Mrs." The Shutter doors worked out great to display them.

This flower was made out of coffee filters. It was also one of my favorite crafts!

"What happens in the barn, Stays in the barn."

The food table

So we were as set up as we were gonna get for the night and we had a delicious rehearsal dinner cookout and to the hotel we went. The ladies did things like unpack and show ea other their outfit and Bri bustled Britt's dress. The gents ran to Wal Mart. The next day this is what was in their room. Don't worry, it was returned the next day.

And a sneak peak at what's to come. She's a beauty. :0) Up next, the actual wedding, swimming and some miscellaneous, along with an update on Bricen's eating and drinking. (If I can get the computer to cooperate!)

The Making of The Bargers, Phase I

Just some late night ninja crafting for the big day.
Yea, I thought about not posting these, but they make me laugh. :0)

Best little bro ever!

There are some duck lips pictures that I did decide "mmm betta not" post those.

This little guy was pretty funny when we first put those boots on.

Kita has a new hiding place for storms.

Turned around and this little guy was shaking his tail feather naked!

This was a big day for us. I felt like we had arrived. Haha We went to the grocery store and I actually kept my kid occupied by feeding him! It's the little things in life. :0)

Kicked off the bach weekend with some Olive Garden with the Bride.

Bricen actually swallowed a few bites!

Silly baby boy.
I know this is no big deal to some people but I love that I can give him food to occupy him. :0)
Aaand the crafting continued. I've about decided I should not walk in my neighborhood the evening before trash day. I has a tendency to turn me into a dumpster diver. I found these...idk I'm gonna call em shutter doors. I want a table made out of them for my front porch but once I got them home I thought it'd be a good way to display Britt's "wands of good wishes". Only problem was the doors appeared to be in perfect shape. I had seen on a episode of a makeover show where they had drug furniture around gravel road to make it distressed. So that's what Brilynn and Dillan (Grooms Brother and now Brilynn's BF) and Brett did for me. My husband wouldn't tell me where the string was or if he had any so we used ribbon.

I'm sure we, once again, gave the neighbors something to talk about. Haha

Bricen was a big helper!

Old formula cans come in handy for a rustic barn wedding. These were flowers from my wedding. See, it pays to be a pack rat sometimes.

Brittani said she wanted Bricen to get friendly with his box and boy did he ever.

You might notice the shoes. For the longest time I could not find his tennis shoes. I eventually went and got him a cheap pair and of course, we found them the next day. They were behind the TV. Couple days later, guess what was behind the TV again? Yep. It was his special hiding place. Haha

There was a fair amount of shopping done in prep for the wedding. Bricen took the opportunity to snuggle up with some bedding. I do believe this was Stein Mart. We had been there a few days before. This trip I let him out of the stroller to stretch his legs. I hate him going from car seat to cart or stroller and back to car seat. Anyways, he took off running toward the little toy section and picked up what I thought was a ball like one he already had. After looking around I realized it was his ball! He had left it last time we were there. I checked at the register and it did not scan. It was almost like what I would imagine a reunion with "Wilson" would be like if Tom Hanks would have reunited with him on Cast Away.
A lot of team work went into this wedding but it's fair to say that my sister and bro in law worked the hardest.

Here the best little bro out there was helping clear some brush from some trees that had been cut down. My little man went and grabbed the broom and decided to help. I know I might be partial but he's kind of adorable!

This bucket sets outside my sisters. Bricen thought it was there just for him. He drug that thing that's half his size all over that yard. And the butterfly makes me laugh. Can we say high school open house picture?
And the crafting continued some more.

You would think this would not have taken long but it was the cause of my 48 hrs with no sleep. I had a list of crafty things I wanted to get done for the wedding and besides the doily lamp this was the only thing left. I thought surely it wouldn't take long. Wrong. It was one of my favorite crafts though. Stay tuned. Lots more to come.
