Hope we don't see you again...

Just FYI, these are all post f my phone. If the timing/dates or days don't seem right it's usually because I do a post and then for a couple days I'm trying to get it to publish with this blogger app. 

Here's some pics f the hospital stay. 

We went home at 1130 Sunday night. Who even knew you could released that late? We decided around 830 or nine we were done there and of course by the time every one got done taking their time getting their ducks in a row, it's was that late when we left.  I can give zofran and Benadryl (for that "mysterious rash" that kept returning) at home and I don't have to worry about bugs or as they kept putting it, him being allergic to something there. 

It's not been great since we've been home but it's been great being home ;) still stooling-getting another test. Puking w zofran some and leaking. But he was hydrated and had tolerated two full strength feeds there. Thankful for progress. Think my little man just takes longer to recover.

Using the pump again. Got a cool new bag w Thomas the train on it from Cutie P Tubies on etsy. We adore them! It's good for home but if he is going to have to start wearing the backpack from time to time we need a smaller one. After much deliberation I've got a couple coming our way to try out. And now we are broke. Ha it's not like he will get a big Easter basket w lots of candy and this is for his nutrition-that's how I rationalize it. ;) he has to be able tigger his food and be able to move. Right? Right.  

Admit

Zofran didn't work. I hated to do it but we had to get this sweet baby checked out. I had done all I could do for him at home. And although I know it's stupid I still felt a little bit like I had failed him by not being able to avoid the ER. We gave it our best. 

So let's take a moment and focus on my eyebrows...we all know bricen finds comfort in rubbing my eyebrow. I'm going to lie n say that's why my eyebrows look like they do. 

Couple reasons I love this pic but mostly bc my husband has a double chin in it. :) 

I would love to say we are seeing a difference but not yet. Although when he is awake he is feeling well enough to want the iv off/out. He's fussy and cranky and I don't blame him. I might be a tad that way too. I was going to try to shower but Bricen told me in his own way that showers were overrated and he didn't think I needed to at this time. :)

....fast forwArd few hrs, midnight 

We might have seen some improvement this evening. He is currently worn out. He got some Benadryl and had to get a bath. There was concern of bed bugs (I know I know!) so we got a new room, had to have a shower and bath and he got the Benadryl for the itching. Mama bear might have come out of hibernation for a moment in time prior to all that happening. 

I can honestly say that mama bear thing is something I don't feel like I have much control over! Twice, tonight and that one terrible sleep study, (which we will not relive) are the only times I've ever been so angry that I don't really know what I said, I get shaky, get hot, etc etc. Now, I promise it was very mild, I don't think I raised my voice nor did I curse or insult anyone...but just still out of my normal temperament. Hate when that happens! Don't enjoy it, prefer to fly under the radar.  Glad we are in the new room. Prayerful that we have a good night. Starting half n half at one, feeding thru the night, hoping to be on full strength by 6 am feed. Prayerful this is a good plan....think they are trying to get rid of me. ;) on a good note, we love the night nurse.

I cut myself out for obvious reasons but it's been kind of cute/pitiful to watch him try to suck on the finger on the one hand and get frustrated he can't bend the other arm to get to my eyebrow with the other hand. 

More misc

Earlier In the week. Still obsessed w my eyebrow and Kitas photobomb made me laugh 

Sent this one to my niece as a joke. You know how those crazy teens these days like to take selfies with kiss faces! Lol 

We are All praying he starts to feel better soon!

So he's become the smallest Godzilla out there, destroying things is his hobby. Lol 

This was a joke for Dereck. He was saying the reason Bricen won't drink is because we don't offer him the good stuff...didn't work. :) 

Got a cool little keeper for his g tube button pads. He loves it. 

Kept running around dragging it behind him. 

Went through a chips n salsa phase. He was helping me get dinner ready for taco night and I looked over and he had taken ea of those chips f the bag, "dip dip dip" and then bite and then on to the next chip.

More n more misc

Brit has been a lifesaver going to therapy with us on Wednesdays. The outpt parking is RI DIC U LOUS!  Seriously. And the weather has been equally ridiculous so it's very helpful to have Brit to drop off at the door with Bricen. And I've enjoyed and needed the girl time after. 

One of Bricen's fav things to do at therapy. 

I handed him my ear muffs just to keep him occupied and the next time I looked back he had them on. He makes me laugh. :) 

Same thing w the sunglasses. He literally thinks this is where they go. Always around the neck or on too of his head. 

This night he sat on the couch and would take a piece of daddy's pepperoni, eat it and then go back for me. He also had his drink and would sit it by Marty's then go get a sip when he wanted to. This was huge stuff. Only a few sips but still...

Just wearin my moms headband. 

Fake cry because he is stuck in his high chair he climbed up in all by himself. Big no no. Big, huge. :) 

Like daddy. 

These are genius! Smaller so it's easier for them to hold and slow melting. 

Made his bed into a big boy bed!
