Chelsi's Wedding

The groom, minutes before walking down the aisle.

But not before hot gluing his shoe. As with most other weddings, there were some unexpected dilemmas. For example, late linens. But it all came together really well. Two family friends from church were the saving grace. I don't know why, but I had a harder time with my mom not being at Chelsi's wedding than I did mine. I think it was because I was too busy at mine. Idk. It was sad and broke my heart but what can you do? Anyways, on to happier things...

My sister did the catering. It looked good and tasted even better.

Everything was ready. This is the maid of honor. It's a horrible picture but someone needed to catch her shooing the cat out of the barn that was trying to jump on tables!

Bricen was suppose to walk down the aisle but he fell asleep. I knew if I had woke him up he would be grumpy and not walk down anyways. So, my wonderful husband stayed up at the barn with him with a fan in front of him and I went down to the ceremony.

Ceremony. Check. And it was on to the reception we went.

Bricen was just getting woke up here. I think we may have been boring him, he's yawning.

Dear Dear Lyla, I'm sorry. I tried, as your dad's older cousin, but I just didn't have much to work with. Wait until he starts telling you his jokes!! I use to have to tell him all the time that he had boogies in his nose! I guess I should have told him not to TRY to smile like Chandler did off of friends.

I've got two nieces, my nieces fiance and his brother and Bricen all in that picture. I'd say we like to have a good time!

I love this picture. I did not take hardly any pictures. Thanks to trusty FB I was able to pull some pictures out.

As for my family, we were busy getting prepared for Reed family pictures.

Wedding Prep and Rehearsal

Get ready, if we aren't there already we might have a little picture overload. So we did some shopping to get ready for the wedding. Tiff broke her toe falling down the stairs. (I'll pause so we can all laugh.)......She was unable to drive with her broken toe. So off we all went to do some last minute shopping. She took this picture. The sign says "Reserved For Super Star Of The Month." It does not say store super star of the month. So, I figure someone told them of my super star status and they always save this spot for me when I come to Kohl's. ;0)

This was a different shopping trip but I realllly want to be able to pull this picture out a few years down the road and tease Brett with it so I had to throw it in.

Brilynn was a little claustrophobic between two car seats. I see now why people drive mini vans.

Oh Little Miss Lyla and her "juicy cheeks." Haha Wal Mart was our last stop and Tiff was feeling the need for the motorized cart. I, of course, took a picture. That evening Bricen and I went for haircuts. Epic Fail. I think it was too much for him after the day out. He was not happy. The lady washed my hair and I could still see my niece trying to console him and him still upset so I had to cancel the appt. We rescheduled for the next day, Thursday. He was not happy Thursday either but we survived. We went Thursday night to meet the Bridal Party for dinner. Bricen fell asleep on the way there, stayed asleep getting out of the car seat, all during dinner, and getting back in the car seat. We went to Grams house after to help her with some stuff and he stayed asleep getting him out and back in again! I knew he was not feeling well.

We started a couple weeks before working on the different shoes, and even trying to get use to the tie. The shoes weren't that big of an adjustment....

The tie on the other hand.....

This poor guy was tore up! He had just gotten out of the bath and I hadn't combed those curls down yet but I think it just adds to the hilariousness of the picture!

Needless to say, the tie did not stay on long the first time around. Poor pumpkin.

He eventually warmed up to it.

So we sorted out the outfit and were ready for the day.

Off to rehearsal we went but not before some pictures. He was so funny during these pictures.

He was playing with my hair.

And he was putting his fingers in my ears. Marty later said that he makes a funny sound when Bricen puts his fingers in his ears and it makes Bricen laugh. Must have been what he was expecting. Mom's not as fun. :0)

Bricen was sick. Coughing like crazy. He had the cold the week before and the cough just seemed to be getting worse. So off we went on Friday to have him looked over. He checked out fine but it made for a rough ride to rehearsal. Bricen was coughing and then puking and then I was cleaning him up and suctioning him instead of helping to navigate so we missed our road and of course didn't realize it until we had gone way to far. Pretty fun times. Haha

A ball goes pretty much everywhere we go.

I've always been close to my cousins. Not only is Chelsi a cousin but she is a friend. Her day was beautiful as was she.

The rocks and my husband were awesome at keeping Bricen occupied.

We went out to practice Bricen walking down the aisle. At first he was doing great.

buuut then he needed a little break. :0)

My nieces and nephew are awesome with Bricen.

Saturday morning Bricen spent some time playing with his new toys from Chelsi and Chris. The morning flew by and it was time to get on the road for the wedding....Yay!

Wedding pics to come tomorrow. It's past my bedtime. Let's hope it's one of those days Bricen sleeps until ten am. One last thought...you know what happens when you are up and everyone else is asleep and you see a spider crawl across the floor? You have to kill it without screaming. Ha Spider dead, time for bed.
