Friends

Ali was in town and for the first time in awhile her girls were cold free and we were able to hang out with them. Yay! I have never seen two little girls as pretty as these two!
Little Miss Landrey has a wobble to her bottom that cracks me up! For some odd reason all I could think about was how my mom would have cracked up at her little wobble! She is sporting some battle wounds right now but she's still adorable. As for Mr. Bricen, I guess he thought if it's ok to throw balls at Daddy, surely I can throw balls at my new friend. The kid kept launching balls at her. I tell ya, he's already got a way with the ladies. Haha But don't worry, little Bruiser was handling herself. :0)

My pictures aren't the greatest but she is giving kisses in this picture.

Ainsley has spent all but ten minutes around my husband and I do believe she has stolen his heart. More than once I've heard "she's a little doll." A year ago Ainsley was here and her Nanny came to pick her up and as she was handing out hugs before she left she gave Marty a hug. That's all it took. :0) This gives me hope that I can talk him into more kids and maybe (Good Lord willing) a little doll of our own.
Later we went to Jen's house to check out Chase's swing set. Bricen. did. not. stop. moving.

See that little white speck out there? That's my boy! No interest in playing with the other kids. Just wanted to explore.

This big guy is not one for smiling for the camera. This must be his "I'm handsome and macho at the same time" face.

Finally, he slept.

We all know I love babies. But I can't get enough of pretty girl babies and Alex was no exception.

I'm sure Ali will appreciate this picture! I promise he was smiling by the time they got to the bottom!

It was so nice to visit with friends. I was blessed with awesome girlfriends in high school. Ali and I became friends not long before my sister passed away. I think God knew what he was doing with that timing. :0)

After visiting we headed to the grocery store. Brilynn came along and we were so happy to get to spend some time with her. Love her so much! Bricen adores her. If she is with us he is always turning his head to keep an eye on her and what she is doing.

All I wanted to do was get the kitchen cleaned up...He's so stinkin' cute it's hard to be mad at the little guy! :0)

These two.. Today he has started to bring his toy or whatever he is messing with (such as a cutting board) over for Kita to check out. I think I'm caught up for real now. To be honest, idk if it's my computer or the system but it's pretty slow moving when it comes to uploading pictures. I haven't been getting much sleep lately and I just don't have the patience for it. I've got to get that straightened out. I'm gonna use it as my excuse for not blogging sooner. :0)
Speech evaluated Bricen. We are gonna add an hr of speech therapy a week to work on language development.More on that later. Can't hold my eyes open. Goodnight. :0)

Misc catch up…

IMG_2107

When I'm old and need a hobby, I plan on making it photography of awesome sunrises and sunsets.

IMG_1824

This was too funny. He got a bath and after getting him dressed and ready for bed he walked over and got his hat and went about his business.

These two have been finding trouble lately. Yesterday I was trimming Scruff on the back porch and the next thing I know I see muddy dog prints on the porch. Turn to find Kita and Bricen had found the mud. I think they are already conspiring against me because before I could get it together Bricen has the screen door open and in goes Kita with her muddy paws on my carpet and floor. We are having a hard time keeping Bricen from laying all over Kita. He would do it 24/7 if we let him. As for Scruff, as a general rule, he tries to avoid Bricen like the plague.
She must have found the mud to be a cooler spot. She is a walking furball that I call names under my breath each time I clean my house, each time she barks at people walking on the other side of the street, each time she gets up quickly or tries to hide herself under something and makes noise to wake Bricen up but I love her.

The lesson this particular week was to not sit on the shelf.

IMG_1841

Someone got stuck.
IMG_1899
I told Bricen it was PJ o'clock (it was more like five in the evening) and two minutes later he was asleep.
IMG_1901
Looks like Brett is informing Bricen of a few things in life. He is officially in high school now!
IMG_1936
Bricen loves his new ball pit...Thanks Aunt Crystal and Mason! I have found balls everywhere! The trash can, the fireplace, everywhere!

Oh my goodness, I love that face.

I just can't keep this kid out of the dog water. He's getting ready to get a bath here. I know it's just dog water but I try to keep that button extra clean. I'm sure I'm a little more cautious than I need to be at times but you just never know.

This was after therapy one day. Poor guy. Therapy hits right around nap time so usually by the end of the session he is exhausted. In general during oral feeding it's a fine line between pushing the limits and getting him to try new things and keeping it a pleasant experience. He gets to that point that he is just tired and stressed and it's time to call it quits.

Grandma Juanita picked Bricen up a table and chairs.

Doing lots better on our walks, I would almost even say he likes them. We had walked for an hour. When we came in I was cooling down and this guy wanted to go again. He went and got his hat and then climbed back up in his stroller.

Did I mention balls are everywhere?
 IMG_2059 IMG_2062
He thought he was stuck...silly boy.

Every kid needs a water table, right? I thought so. He loved it and and I learned that he pretty much needs to be naked because he was soaking wet! I cracked up because he walked with his arms out and legs all weird after he got so wet.
Well...I am almost caught up. I know this has been a sloppy few post and the spacing of the pics are weird but I am too pooped to care right now.
Food update...The goal is to keep food available to Bricen at all times. Fruit Loops are the snack of choice lately. Idk how much goes down he really just tongues it out but it's great that he puts it in his mouth.
This picture is shredded pork chops (new pinterest recipe for the crock pot, super yummy and tender) and mac and cheese. And let's not forget a Popsicle. Don't you wish you had this kid's diet. Try attempting to eat healthy and actually looking for high calorie foods to feed your kid and feeding him every two hours! Talk about temptation. We do try healthy foods too..Below is a pic of Bricen trying to make orange juice from the orange slice I gave him.
So still trying everything. Not really swallowing much. And Mr. Independent wants nothing to do with me spoon feeding him or helping him get a drink.

Therapy spoiled Bricen this week! He had McDonald's Fries, an oreo McFlurry, twizzlers, sour patch kids and dum dum suckers. I think he actually swallowed a piece of a fry without gagging. He tried everything (in his own way) except for the twizzlers.

Oh, and we may or may not have a streaker on our hands. :0)

Chelsi’s Bridal Shower

IMG_2043
Just watching some cartoons with my cousin.

Bricen met Judson for the first time during all this wedding shower planning. He was definitely checking him out. He spent some time trying to soothe Lyla, too.
IMG_1997 IMG_2002
Shower planning and prep is hard work for such a busy busy guy!
IMG_1993
He was so good during the planning and the shower. This day I had forgot the key and we were waiting on my sister to run and get it. He just played outside running up and down the sidewalk. Maybe I should try that sometime and really freak the neighbors out. Haha
