Boo Boo

This is my favorite. Took these 3/30/15

I have more of her with Bricen and Kita when we first got home but I can't get them to load. Don't fall over in surprise.
When I was planning a wedding/honeymoon, a friend told me we had to go somewhere on our honeymoon. She said there is something almost magical about that time. You are just on a natural high and so in love. She was right.
That's also how I would explain the first couple weeks at home with a new baby. It's a natural high and you are so in love. Those first few nights, not sleeping etc. It's an almost magical time. Sure, your love grows and your bond grows, but those first few weeks are pretty stinkin' special. Brevyn Grace, she's my favorite girl. (If you are wondering, Bricen is my favorite boy.)
Once I figure out how to get all these pics to load, I'll post more.
Oh yes, and for some ungodly reason, I've taken to calling her Boo Boo. It's stupid. But it just keeps coming out of my mouth.

Brevyn Grace Reed

Well the Lord blessed us with a sweet little sassy thing we like to call Brevyn Grace on March 14, 2015 at 9:16 am. She was 7 lb 13 oz and 19.5 in long. Hmm...Let's just get this down on "paper" before I forget, because I promised to never let him live it down. My dear sweet husband, in the cold surgery suite, I'm getting prepped and starting to get nervous. I look over my left shoulder and somewhat whisper "hold my hand". That man says "No, I'm cold." He did not want to unfold his arms. That was when I laughed and said I'm never going to let you live that down. A few minutes later I told him I did not care if he was cold, he needed to hold my hand. :)
So, now that I can make sure I won't forget to hold that against him for the rest of his life, we can move on. haha Of course they give you a quick look but then take the baby to the side to get her cleaned up and checked out. Marty had a better view than me. I was so thankful just to be hearing a healthy baby girl cry!! Marty was whispering and telling me "she's got dark hair" and "she's awesome" oh and "she's a chunker". Anything would be to us after Bricen. :0)  I think the fact that she had a head full of dark hair was Marty's favorite part. They brought her over, I kissed those sweet cheeks, told her happy birthday and that her mama had been praying for her. Then that turd Daddy kept his new #1 girl in his life warm while they finished me up. :0)
We had our alone time and some skin to skin before everyone met up with us. Just can't put into words just how special that time is. After a short time under the warmer (which tore me up letting her go, I'll call it PTSD lol) she was finally able to make her appearance and meet the world.
Our hospital stay was uneventful. Poor Bricen was sick so Marty stayed with him at home at night and Brianna and Aunt Karen stayed with me. After two nights we broke out of there. Bricen did come see us at the hospital. I expected him not to want much to do with Brevyn but was surprised and sad (darn hormones made it worse lol) that he didn't want anything to do with me. He played some hide and seek in the shower in the room and had fun doing that. Haha
Once we were home, it took some adjusting, and more than once he has asked me to put baby sister back in my belly but he loves his sister and is very protective of her at times. Now, let's see those pictures!

We're Ready...

Did I mention what a big helper he is? ;0)

As I mentioned before Brevyn looks great. Doc's words were baby looks great, just worried about momma. My blood pressure has decided to jump up so he took me off work last week and this week. We are scheduled for a C section March 17 and I'm seeing him twice a week so he can keep a close eye on us. We are ready, anytime now. :0)

Look at that little face!! Already about 6.5 lbs. I am so thankful to God for his hand in this. I'm convinced he had a hand in Bricen's pregnancy too. He was doing his part to keep that little guy alive. Even at the toughest of times, He is there. We never know what he is protecting us from.

This is how Aunt Karen kept Bricen occupied in the OB waiting room one visit.

Hey, whatever works. :0) Kind of become my motto lately. lol

So, we are as ready as we are going to be. Her room is all done. Marty gives me a hard time because apparently I've been "finishing Brevyn's room" for a few weeks now. There is always something to do!

Of course, I could not have done it without this little stinker's help.

Just helping dad get this double stroller together. He probably wonders if his parents are capable of doing anything on their own.

After the stroller was put together Bricen wanted to build a fort so the boy got himself a fort. :0)

Damon and Misc

Damon and Bricen has gotten closer.

Snow ice cream with chocolate almond milk.

Loves to throw sisters socks in the air and yell geranimno (who knows how to really spell that).

Just a little practice.

Love this.

All that was left of a Wendy's jr hamburger. Ahhmazing. Now, tonight he ate nothing from his dinner plate. Hit and miss, this guy.

He's very into his animals and them doing whatever he is doing at the time.

I told him it was my birthday and he kept wanting to have my party and go to store and get decorations. He's so stinkin' sweet sometimes. So we made some allergy safe cupcakes.
