Catch up!

Last week was a very busy week and we loved it! Tuesday we went to the Zoo with girls from work. I've decided that will need it's own post. Brittany Russell came for a visit all the way from California and stayed Tuesday night and then went to the GI appt with us Wednesday. Which was actually Thursday. All that bragging I did in the previous post bit me in the butt. No sooner did I publish the last post was Bricen puking. We've switched back to name brand prevacid. I think the combination of the cold and the generic med we had started was just a bad deal. By Tuesday night nothing was staying down, not even pedialyte. We are on the mend now. But yes, Bricen was sick, full of congestion, vomitting the whole ride up to Carmel on Wednesday and then we get there and the appt is Thursday. So, we went back Thursday. Thank goodness my sister was able to go Thursday. Friday we spent working on housework and getting things ready for the weekend but not before we had Kita at the vet before 8 am.

We played outside with some sidewalk chalk. You can see the little blue scribbles, they are faint but they are there! That was Bricen's contribution.

Bricen was suppose to be blowing on the dandelion but I think Kita wanted a bite of it.

I had to take this poor orphan looking kid for a haircut on Monday. He definitley needed it! :0)

Tuesday after the zoo we headed to the grocery store and then to Brianna's house for Craig's birthday. And somehow Bricen was still going strong. We've decided Uncle Craig needs to make Bricen a small cornhole game of his own. Something tells me he will still want to play with the big boys.

As I mentioned, Brittany came to visit and she came bearing gifts. Bricen loves his guitar! It is very similar to the guitar Marty uses for Rockband and I think that is part of the reason he loves it.

Brittany rolled up in a minivan. The rental car place gave her a minivan and I thought it was hilarious! I will say it was decked out and I looked inside and thought I could fill this thing up with some kids! haha

The love for the guitar continued. We went to pick up take out Mexican. We always had Mexican food in nursing school. Partly because we love the food and partly because we were in nursing school and it was cheap. I love that Brittany can come to town, spend time with us simply hanging at my house, sitting on the back porch and last but not least arrange her visit so that she is available to go to Carmel with us to an appointment. Love her! And during that ride she was awesome with Bricen (as he was puking the whole way), comforting him, suctioning when needed etc etc. I'm just going to say I think the minivan was a sign that she needs to have a kid! Enough of this travel nursing silly stuff. :0)

Bricen's Uncle Brent and (soon to be) Aunt Shanyn stopped by. Bricen took the opportunity to show Uncle Brent his tools. (Marty's aunt and uncle also stopped by-did I mention it was a busy week?)

And being the brothers that they are, Marty and Brent decided to play swords with the shovel and rake.

This is a random picture of the rainbow I saw on the way to work Sunday morning. I had just gotten done praying and looked over and saw it. The timing was awesome.

You could see from one end of the rainbow to the other. I had to take two pictures to get it all.

Monday cuddle time! Bricen's talking has picked up. In this picture he is saying "cheese". I decided to hold off on the hearing test. He hummed along to the tail end of a song on one of his cartoons and we decided we would hold off. He has said baby, cheese, dog, kita, Mom, Dad, Mommy, Daddy, Mama, Dada, down, that and ball. I'm sure there is more but as you can tell it's picking up.
We were sitting on the back porch while Marty worked on the yard and Bricen just happen to be very photogenic. And I happen to have the phone ready to take pictures. :0)

Mr. Rotten himself.
