Dropper feeding
We tried the dropper feedings for the first time. Bricen was very eager and rooting on whatever he could get his mouth to in between the droppers. I think maybe next time we will have to do this literally an hr before his next feed. When he gets worked up it increases the chances of aspiration. I thought things were going great but then at the end of the feeding he started gagging and dry heaving. Im hoping we have better luck tonight. I'm willing to try it one more time. He was pretty stinkin' cute while we were trying though. :)
He likes to hold his pacifier himself but he shoves it in his mouth and ends up gagging himself. Silly boy.
Messy face.
Hurry up!! Give me another bite!!
That's it? That's all I get??
Bricen has started with the sad face. He is usually full of smiles so it's hard to catch a picture of this.
Our next sleep study is scheduled for Feb 16th. I've already started praying for it. I use to tell Marty when I was pregnant that I was just preparing for the worse, praying for the best. The other day he said maybe I should start doing that again. So I am going in with no expectations in regards to the results. It is what it is. Whatever he needs we will get through it. If it's worse then it's just not time for him to be better yet. Not in God's plan. (Warning: I might feel very different tomorrow haha.) For now I'm praying for quality results and that he sleeps through the study. Bricen is still doing the projectile vomiting and they say he's at his max dose of prilosec. Guess we will get through that too. Just pray he doesn't projectile vomit out the nose with all that sleep study stuff in his nose (would make it difficult to suction out his nose in a hurry). It's very frustrating because he did so well with this for a month and we are doing nothing different.
For today the nice weather and sunshine have both me and Bricen in a good mood! We have one appointment this afternoon and Bri and family are coming over this evening for dinner. I invited her over to my house to make me dinner. :) :) Hope everyone enjoys the day!
