5 day feeding trial #2...

Five day feeding trial #2...
Apples seem to be a new favorite. Of course, not apple sauce that he might find easier to swallow, not apples with peanut butter or Carmel that would give more calories or protein, just plain apples. My ever consistent, sweet baby is still doing his normal swish and spit. I will say I think the apples are helping him develop more of a chew with those back teeth. There is a more medical way of saying that but that's all I got for now. :) If anyone is wondering, it does give daddy, and sometimes me, five heart attacks to let him get enough in there to have to use those back teeth to chew.
Oh yes, and the dinosaur cup that he picked up at the grocery. It leaks not just from the straw but from around the dinosaur's neck. :) I was hoping for more spill proof containers, not more leaky.
Idk if it's a good thing or bad thing but I've been a little more relaxed this time around. Idk if I should thank God and the prayers or if I should feel guilty for not being more structured with this trial. This teaching ur baby to eat, such an emotional roller coaster!
We may go to the children's museum today. Can't decide. One minute all I picture is enclosed snotty coughing kids hacking all over every surface and wiping their snot all over every surface. And in that same minute I feel slightly guilty for leaving the house on a five day feeding trial. If I'm gonna starve the baby I need to stay here and sit him down every two hrs and attempt to eat, right?
And then there's the next minute. The minute that I think he is two yrs old, not a preemie, we can't keep him in a bubble forever, maybe being around other kiddos with snacks will help, and we are making memories and keeping mommy sane. Besides, come Dec 1 I will either be too poor to go to the museum or perhaps tired because we are juggling and adjusting to me picking up a third day.
We had our 2yr check up w the regular pediatrician yesterday. Weighing in at 21.5 lbs, 31 7/8 in tall, and I forget his head, it's always where it suppose to be (thank Jesus). Just so happens our developmental peds appt at Riley and the appt yesterday fell in the middle of a feeding trial so I'm guessing he's more like 22 lbs. Going to see an allergist before we get the flu shot. I think it's overkill but then again I don't really want to be wrong.
We visited Mamaw after the Dr and grocery yesterday, will have to post pics later. Bricen did break out "Mamaw" all on his own with no coaching! He is getting there with his speech!
Another bday party tomorrow with my side of the fam!
