Gone Fishin'

Well not a whole lot of improvement with that last feeding trial. I suppose we are going to do a five day trial for the first time next week. Ugh. I am almost feeling a pressing need to get Bricen eating by mouth because of the changes with my job. Work has made some changes and I will (if a full time position is available or offered) be picking up a third day. Unfortunately it will have to be a night shift thru the week so that we aren't trying to find a sitter for Bricen and his special considerations. I love this little man more than words can tell you! I am thankful and blessed that I was able to work weekend option the first two years of his life. We were pretty busy with follow up appts and therapies in the beginning. Therapy and feeding trials consume our days now. More than anything (eh, maybe a close tie with the financial worries) I worry and am determined not to let picking up this third day get in the way of those feeding trials or keep him from making progress.

Someone had a grand time shaking the baggy of sprinkles on my wet floor I had just mopped. Yep, sprinkles on a wet floor does stick!

Been working on this sweet baby's second birthday. It's a Caillou theme. Hard to find Caillou decor. Prob because some parents find him to a big four yr old baby but my kid sure does love him! Anyways, Brett went w us to Party City and kept things interesting.

Don't worry, it's never been used. I keep having to tell him it's to go potty with and it stays in the bathroom.

Damon has a new name. Boog. Damon was in his bed and he pointed over and said "Boog". It took me a minute then I realized, probably does look like the bear from Open Season to him. Bricen has been hooked on Open Season. Ironic since his dad is a hunter. :) It was $5 so I got it for the car and he's been hooked every since.

He wanted to wear his boots this day. Who am I to stop this handsome cowboy?

We went fishing tonight out at Marty's boss's house. Stopped first to say hi to his horse. This baby looks like such a little man here.

Change of clothes and a clean up because he puked on the drive from the barn to the house.

I tell you what. It's funny how these pictures of Marty and Bricen make me fall in love with my husband all over again. (That's pretty mushy for me, Ill try to keep that at a minimum.) ❤️

No apprehension at first. Daddy was afraid he would get the hook and had to hold him back...then the fish moved. Haha

Marty was saying "Give him a kiss." I would have died had his mouth actually made contact with that fish! Haha

He was pretty into getting his picture taken with his mom. :)

Taking it all in.

Timeout to swing. We were really only there about an hr. But it wasn't too bad for an almost two yr old's first time fishing!

Daddy said this was a pretty good picture except for that hair. I think it's perfect. I'll admit, even if we leave it a little longer he needs a shape up. It's such an ordeal. Plan it when his belly is empty cause he's gonna cry and then he is gonna puke. Maybe the week of his birthday we will make it happen.

Again, he has stolen my heart, and I will never ask for it back.
We came home, had pork chops, green beans and cheesy potatoes for dinner and are now in bed. Simplicity. Simply perfect evening.
*Bricen is all set for Halloween. He's Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Pretty adorable. We've tried it on and taken pics but will save them til after Halloween.
